Your first massage

Before you receive your session, it is a good idea not to eat any large or heavy meals. You may also want to shower or bathe directly before your session, not only out of courtesy to your therapist, but it might also help start loosening any tight muscles you have.

Arriving 10 to 15min. prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows you the time to fill out the appropriate client form, change and prepare for the service.

Before your session begins your therapist will ask you about your symptoms and medical history, physical condition, lifestyle, stress levels, medications and any areas of physical pain. This information will help to structure the session to achieve your health and wellness goals. Your therapist may assess any problem areas by observing your posture, balance, and examine joint movements. Checking for restricted or painful movement and gently pressing for tender areas. You should state your concerns and goals to you therapist.

Your session will be administered in a comfortable, relaxed and private environment. Your therapist will ask you to undress in private and drape yourself with a sheet. The type of session you will be receiving and the specific areas of your body that your therapist will be working on will determine your required state of undress. You may remove clothing to your level of comfort. Sometimes it requires to bring shorts and a tee shirt for injury treatments in particular.
